If you are looking for a mixture of old vintage names, then take the time to scroll through this baby name list.
Being from a French background, I love matching anything and everything to that category. When I was growing up, my list of baby names for my future children consisted of ONLY French names, and of course the more time went by, the more that list changed but I digress. Let’s get started on this list.

Bastien - This is a shorter sweeter version of Sebastien. This name is perfect for the first time parent since this name means venerable or revered, it also means person from Sebastia.
Beau- Just like Bastien, this name is considered to be the shorten version of other names. You can use the longer name like Beauchamp or Beaumont, or keep it as, is. Beau in and of itself means beautiful or handsome.
Edouard- If you love the English version, Edward, but want something more unique, this name is perfect for you. It means wealthy guardian and with this spelling, people are likely to take a second look.
Pierre- This is the French version of Peter. Both names mean rock or stone. Not only is it French but you can also use it as Biblical name, since Simon Peter was and is one of the most famous apostles out of the 12.
Jean- While this one is mainly a boy name, nowadays, people tend to interchange it, making it a neutral standing name. Like Pierre, Jean , or John, is a also a Biblical name and it means God is gracious.
Julien- While Julien is a common French name, it comes from the Latin origin Julianus or Julius. It means dedicated to Jupiter or from the Julius family. The name is associated with youth due to the age that a young boy get his first chest hair.

Mathias- Mathias is derived from the the Greek name Matthaīos, which comes from the Hebrew name Mattiyahu. This name, like some of the names on this list, takes on a religious meaning and means the gift of God.
Gaëtan- Gaëtan is a name dear to my heart since I have a cousin with that name. Over the past couple of years, this names popularity has gone through ups and downs. It meaning is very simple, it means to be from Gaeta. Gaeta is a small city on the coast of Italy, so if you are an avid traveler, this might be the right name for you.
